Where do I begin building my website?
If you have a good designer or developer they will make this as painless as possible. They will help you find hosting or take care of that service for you. They can also provide you with domain name if you haven’t already purchased one.
What is a Domain Name or address?
This is the name or address of your website example: www.chan-web.com . This is kind of like your home address it helps people find where your website lives in the world wide web. You will want to pick a name that identifies your business. You will want people to know who you are.
What is Hosting?
This will hold your website out on the web, We will say this is the house your website lives in. This company usually provides the address or domain name, email services, database services, and many other services that make your website work.
What Next?
After you have your home and address you need someone to decorate your house. This would be the website design itself. Each room will have to be decorated; this will be your pages. Your designer should help you pick out colors and layout for the new website.
Now you will need to decide how many pages your business website will need. Most websites start with a Home page (what your business is about in a glance), Products or Services pages (A place to hold or tell about all your products or services), About page (Telling everyone about your business so they can get to know you) and a Contact page (Letting everyone know how to get in contact with you). There are many other pages you can add but these are the basic ones.
Now you have your template website built. You will need to give the designer photography and information to go into each page. This is like putting pictures on your walls. If you are not able to do this your designer can do this for you for an extra charge.
That is it, you now have a website!
